Unlike conventional electroplating, selective plating allows us to repair otherwise sound piston rods or rams that have small areas of damage without resorting to grinding and plating the whole item. This method can also be used to repair scored or corroded bores. The process is portable and can be performed in-situ on board a vessel or in a customers factory.
